Jaylen Barsha grows up in a life of privilege and expectations as the heir to a manufacturing concern in the beginning of the Imperial era. ND-5 is a BX series commando droid repurposed into an assassin. They find themselves thrown into a series of adventures as Jaylen seeks answers and revenge on the downfall of his family.

A prelude to the Star Wars: Outlaws video game, we see ND-5 history before joining Kay Vess. Solid book, I kind of wish that the game would have done better sales; as I think it would have made a solid game and books series.
