If you examined your life, how would you know that it was successful? Imagine there is a liminal space at the edge of things that allowed you to enter into the worlds created by all of your choices – and you could live to see if they were truly better than your counterfactuals and regrets? Nora Seed finds herself in that liminal space, a library where the books are primarily gateways to all of these worlds. Will Nora be able to find true happiness or fulfillment there?
Good question, some interesting worlds built. As someone prone to overthinking, I feel her “book of regrets”. This is a quick breezy read. But, I found the ending to be telegraphed much earlier. Also – trigger warning – suicidal ideation is present.
