The Boom comics run was fun. I tended to like the shorter caper driven story lines verses the “Verse shaking” ones. Return to the Earth That Was ended the stories Boom did that focused on the original main characters. As such, when I went and read the Deluxe Edition, 3ish years since the individual comics run ended, I forgot how much change the various characters had gone through. And in this read through, I found myself annoyed by some of the choices. Also, the consequences of the final seemed too fairy tale for our Big Damn Heroes. That could be just Old Man talk…
