Fayette Wynne is a 1920’s screenwriter who needs space to finish her current writing project, after losing her mother to an illness. Rex Hallstrom is an up and coming actor who Fayette saves one stormy night. Finding a cliffside house they have never seen before in Carmel-by-the-Sea. But Fayette has a secret – a sourdough starter that has been in the family for many years; that has powers of healing. And in the house she feels a similar supernatural feeling – but not the same. Rumor has the house appearing from a dark source. Can Fayette and Rex wrestle with their own issues and the house?

It takes a little while to get going, but this is solid cozy fantasy with good character development.
