Imagine if one day every man made object sink into the earth (killing anyone inside at the time), and are recreated as an 18 level dungeon. Each level is timed, and full of aliens transformed into the denizens of the dungeons. Welcome to the most exciting game in the galaxy – Dungeon Crawler World. With the help of loot crates given by fans, sponsors, and other benefactors you can make it all the way down – and become an intergalactic star!
This is the situation that Carl, half dressed and with his ex’s cat Donut, finds himself in when it is the Earth’s turn to host the games… Will he survive, gain viewers, and make a splash? Or will he be another victim?
This was a “really cheap Kindle pick up” because of the popularity of the books, I wanted to give it a try. Interesting premise, some funny writing, that I found repetitive towards the end of the book. Having grown up on both RPG’s and computer games the tropes were familiar. I felt like the book should have ended at the end of an earlier level… the last quarter of the book just seemed like more of the same to hit a page count.
