This is a collection of baseball pictures from throughout the history of the game. It has pictures from the pre major league era, from the Negro Leagues, from the AAGPBL, the minors, from all over. Each picture has a somewhat related quote and a paragraph or two of explanation, exposition, or something.

This was my gift for membership in the Baseball Hall of Fame this year. It’s a beautiful book with great pictures of a diverse array subjects. There are some great pictures of old ballparks. This is not limited to just hall of famers, and it’s not the “150 or so most famous” pictures from the MLB. It is a great collection of photographs.
