by G.K. Chesterton
Father Brown is back for more mysteries in his inimitable style. Rather than a Sherlock Holmes investigator, Fr. Brown relies on his moral understanding of the human condition, more than his keen observation skills, that leads him to the solution.
One thing I appreciate about the good father is his desire to see repentance and grace (verses justice or vengeance) be the end result of his investigations. The largest negative is that certain concepts and language (normally held or said by others and not by Fr. Brown) are racist or sexist. That can make some stories hard going.
