Murderbot is fulfilling a contract to protect a team exploring a planet. While watching “The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon” the team finds itself in danger. And as a SecUnit, Murderbot saves the day, but the team starts to realize this SecUnit isn’t like the others, and start to see him as part of the team. And this comes in handy, when things continue to go wrong on the mission. Will MurderBot and his PreservationAux clients survive?

I will admit that I picked up this novella a while ago, when it was on sale. (When I was a kid, teen, and student – I couldn’t get enough books. I was poor, hit the library, and dreamed of a big library. Now that I have one, I can’t keep up with the books. OF course I also take every free book that’s offered…) I finally read this one after watching a few episodes of the Apple TV adaptation. The novella is better.
