Zoë Boehm is back, investigating the death of a middle aged woman. Her sudden death, after finding the love of her life, bothers her long time boss who hires Zoë to find out what happened. At the same time, a child delinquent that Zoë has interacted with before, jumps off a building to his death. But is his death innocent? Is it related to another death that is all over the news? How is Zoë holding up after the events of the first novel? And who killed her client’s EA?

Like the first novel a conspiracy is involved in some of the threads she’s following.
This one is a bit shorter, felt more focused, and a bit better than the first one.
