‘The Thursday Murder Club’ meets on Thursdays to discuss cold cases…at a retirement community in England. We join when a new member is brough in for her expertise as a nurse… this is a slow burn, that revels in letting us know the details of the club and the people they meet. It takes a third of the book for us to get to the mystery. I enjoyed the characterization. The mystery was good, but was so interrelated to the place and the people, it made me wonder why the case wasn’t solved years ago. I may read the next book to see if the pace improves.
