The last Felse adventure finds a newcomer to Middlethorpe trying to buy his way into the town’s life. Having convinced the local vicar to make him the new organist, Arthur Rainbow is found dead in the graveyard…who did it? His younger wife? His lover? Or someone else? And what did the chorister see? While a lesser Felse adventure it has an interesting setup, but a typical young person goes out to try and find the answer conclusion. Still, not a bad end to the series.
