By Booker T. Washington
I had never read the whole of Booker T Washington’s autobiography, just excerpts. It was an interesting read. I preferred the first half of the book – where he describes his youth as a slave, as a newly freed man, and his educational pursuits. The back half of the book is about his time at the Tuskegee Institute and his many speeches and fund raising endeavors. Great man who overcame a lot of adversity.
