Charlie’s dad, who is important, dislikes this and sends Charlie off to get married to someone important. Along the way he is sent against the Sorceress, and is captured.

Tress decides she must save him, and a very practical girl finds herself in the midst of pirates to rescue her love, including their strange cabin boy, Hoid. What follows is a breezy, light read that I found enjoyable.
