Reeves sets forth the really simple premise – how we see God influences how we understand God and how we live. God as Trinity is the foundation of his love, his mercy, frankly the foundation of everything. Because of this foundation of love it affects the way we pray, the way we live as a community, and every other aspect of the faith.

I wish that all introductory books of theology had the wisdom, the wit, and the joy of this book. Instead of trying to discuss the Trinity as a philosophical/theological understanding – with millennia of discussion, argumentation, and differences of opinion. All of that is not necessary as part of an introduction. Instead describing how the Trinity affects everything and do it in a way that shows its importance – excellent.
