Clark knows how to write a procedural, detective novel. The plot moves along, she lays hooks in about Foster, and has interesting (although mostly stockish) characters. Everything propels along with the POV’s switching between Foster and other characters. This keeps the suspense about who’s the killer until towards the end.

The book is set to widely release on January 1st, 2023 – I read it is as a Kindle First Reads. I already pre-ordered the second book in the series, set to release in a year.
