Middle Grade story about Jedi Knight Silandra Sho and Padawan Rooper Nitani are Pathfinders in the Outer Rim exploring new systems and planets. When they learn of another missing Pathfinder team, they go to find out where they are. Along the way they recover their support teams and end up on Gloam – a deserted planet their neighbors say is full of monsters. While there, the team find a marooned father and son – and went looking for the missing Jedi….

Fast paced and well written. The characters are interesting, and the pacing is good. Its a middle grade book, so the actual adventure is a little bit tame.
