By Ellis Peters
Annet Beck, protected local beauty, goes missing on Hallomount – site of a fairy disappearance in the distant past. Tom Kenyon is the new, young schoolmaster who falls in love with her. But when she is found, seemingly with no memories of the long weekend, its up to the newly promotes George Felse and son Dom to see if her disappearance and a nearby robbery/homicide are linked.
This book was more focused on Tom Kenyon with teenage Dom being relegated to a very minor role this time. Interesting premise, good plotting, and short enough that if kept my attention until the end.
