This was a Christmas present, that I started to read in January. This is an authoritative work on the nature of Middle Earth. Culled from the books, the legendarium, and other writings that help to explain subjects like aging of the various races, time keeping, and all other manner of the practical side of things. Some are questions I had. Some were not. It was all interesting…but its like reading an encyclopedia. Great reference information, not always the most exciting read in the moment. So very interesting, can be dry.
