By Ben Aaronovitch
Detective Constable Peter Grant and the Special Assessment Unit are back to investigate a series of deaths amongst a group of college acquaintances who for a while in college were part of a prayer group….along with a pregnant wife (who is also a river goddess), an ever growing group of foxes, new members of the Folly, and a return by an old frenemy.
Another solid entry in the series. Peter is growing but the “power creep” problem has not surfaced. Peter is good, he learns and grows, approaches things differently then his mentor. Fun, procedural urban fantasy series. It helped keep me sane this Holy Week.
*Easter Egg hunt: Aaronovitch loves to give Peter and company going on pop culture references. This book is rife with Monty Python references, see how many you can find.
