Set in the same time period as the Cadfael books, this is a lighter more anachronistic centered in Wales. Its the first in a series, gotten for 99 cents on Kindle. It wasn’t bad, but not good. Peppered with the odd Welsh word or phrase in one sentence and modern turns of phrase later in the paragraph. The twist at the end was unexpected and realistic.
