I have been reading about the adventures of Thrawn (aka Mitth’raw’nuruodo) Chiss strategic genius since Heir to the Empire. When the old books and comics were demoted to “Legends”, Thrawn was brought back quickly. Showing up in the Rebels Cartoons, being mentioned in a book, and even being mentioned The Mandalorian. This is the second book trilogy that he has starred in. Lesser Evil came out in November.

Lesser Evil is interesting, pulls together all of the threads of from the first two books, and comes to a satisfying conclusion. In the middle, it felt like it could use some trimming. There was too much talk, not enough show. As always Thrawn is several steps ahead of everyone else; but will his constant flouting of Chiss rules lead to his demotion?

Overall, its an enjoyable read, and helps bring this part of the updated Thrawn mythos.
