It was fine, I missed a series that preceded this one, so not all of the characters were familiar. But the core of surviving characters are still there. But life has changed them. Kaylee is a captain of one ship, Zoe the other. Fun ideas, but it seemed to lack something. Hopefully the follow up book adds it.
