One part “The Stand” (Plague wipes out a majority of the population) and one part survival novel (with requisite secrets). Paul (a cop), Olivia (a daycare owner), and Joyce (one of her young wards) are escaping New York City. Terrance is a former spook holed up waiting for the end of the world; and then it starts like one of his old assets had predicted. Without giving anything away, one of the plots has my attention and the other one I could care less about. I will likely read the next book in the series…
