By Larry Correia
This is the second urban fantasy book I’ve read in the last year that finished up with the protagonist about to enter into a larger battle (Peace Talks and Battle Ground by Jim Butcher being the other one). Where Peace Talks feel like the halfway point in a larger book, Bloodlines had a self contained story. Fast, fun read – if you enjoy guns (in the Mack Bolan vein) and the supernatural.
I kind of hope that the Owen Pitt story line is coming to a close…. We have long gone past any sense of challenge. But I enjoy the world and hope that we have get more stories in the world.

Considering that Owen IS Correia’s literary alter-ego, I wouldn’t bet on Owen being done any time soon…

No more than I would expect Butcher to kill of (in a permanent way) Harry Dresden. In my opinion Owen power leveled pretty fast with little build up. I never feel like he is in danger…just those he cares about. It is my biggest quibble with the series.

Oh that’s right, Dresden got ghosted or something didn’t he? I stopped that series a while ago.
I’m just starting Bloodlines and was searching around on WP for anyone else who might have reviewed it. A lot less than I was expecting!
