By Bernard A. Weisberger
A retelling of the 1906 World Series that is more interested in: the city that both teams called home and the formative role both franchises played in the formation of professional baseball. A lot of interesting information around the series. Not much anywhere near as much information about the games. It was interesting…. but made me yearn for something more like – Ten Innings at Wrigley: The Wildest Ballgame Ever, with Baseball on the Brink that does a great job of discussing the teams, players, and the game itself.
