A revised version of Dr. Hays’ 2013-2014 Hulsean Lectures at Cambridge. Hays argues that there is an earlier, higher Christology built into all 4 Gospels. And that this is observed by understanding how each of the Evangelists use the Old Testament in understanding and explaining Jesus. It was a fast and interesting to read, academic in background, and makes me want to read his follow-up.
