Fawn is a 50 something bookseller in West Philadelphia (she grew up in Norristown) who is going through a mid-life crises… that we learn about in this epistolary novel. She is equal parts amusing and annoying and an unreliable narrator. She has the requisite “childhood issues” that bring a darkness to the proceedings (but not as dark as I feared, Thank Be to God). My mixed review is indicative of my feelings about Fawn as a character – right down the middle.
This was an Amazon First Read selection, which I generally enjoy. I tend to use it to read outside of the genre fiction I like to relax with.

I saw another review of this book. I think I’ll try out.
